Mediocrity

When did we stop telling ourselves to beat out the competition? When did everyone get trophies for just showing up?  People do not understand the dangers of such a mentality. In the guise of inclusivity and sensitive sensibilities we are raising a generation that thinks competition is bad. And that to compete is bad. If Mother Nature and thousands of years of human history is testament to one thing it is that without competition one will die out. The urge to survive and to do what it takes, that's what we are killing. With this talk of so called inclusivity we are killing the natural selection of things. How will we know that one is truly good at what one does?  Only when one outperforms. It's the only proven way, how else will the human race move forward as a species?

Blood

Blood truly is thicker than water. The distance between siblings is something which is unknown to one such as myself. I believe that if such a distance exists then it is the fault of their upbringing. I wouldn't say the parents are to blame but there are many factors that's go into successfully creating a bond with your sibling. It's a strange thing to explain one cannot fathom anyone else in that place. It's a special bond one that's it unbreakable. Even under duress this bond will stay intact like an anchor it shall weather the metaphorical storm and come out on the other side. I now think about Romulus and Remus,  Cain and Abel some of history's most famous brothers all known for the henious acts that were committed to one party of the relationship. Romulus killed Remus as Cain killed Abel, why would one not want to be ones brothers keeper. A strange concept, when you look at your blood as an entity that is separate and not unity everything else starts to get murky. And down this road we go till another Cain kills another Abel.
